Local Pedestrian Suffers Severe Injuries in Accident; Lawsuit Filed

TAMPA, FL [February 12, 2025] – A local pedestrian has filed a lawsuit following a serious accident that resulted in severe injuries. The incident occurred on September 18, 2024, at an intersection in Ruskin, Florida.

She sustained significant injuries, including loss of limb because of the accident. The complaint alleges negligence and gross negligence on the part of the responsible parties. The lawsuit contends that the driver of a vehicle failed to exercise due care and operated the vehicle in a reckless manner, while the property owner failed to provide adequate safety measures for pedestrians at the intersection.

“This accident has had a devastating impact on my client’s life,” says Gil Sanchez, Esq., of Black Rock Trial Lawyers, the law firm representing the plaintiff. “We believe that the negligence and gross negligence of the responsible parties directly caused her injuries and significant losses. We are committed to fighting for justice and fair compensation for our client.”

The lawsuit seeks damages for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other related losses. A trial by jury is requested. The case is currently pending in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court in and for the County of Hillsborough, Florida.
